Are you like me and struggle with keyword research? I can find keywords all day long. Most of what I find are useless though.

When I used Google’s keyword tool I trusted the results 100%. Why wouldn’t I? Big company like that shouldn’t be giving false figures. Sadly, that’s not always how it goes.

The results you see are not always correct, far from it. It would have been correct at some point though. I discovered the answer almost by pure chance.

I decided to go for a keyword with about five thousand competing pages. I was feeling confident enough to rank well with this one. I started banging articles out left right and centre. Hundreds in fact.

Soon after I noticed Google telling me there was about 9000 competing pages now. I could hardly believe that. Had there been some mistake? Turned out though that an awful lot of the extra competing pages had my articles on them!

If I had saw 9000 competing sites I would have passed this keyword by. Turns out I was competing mostly against myself as my article was the cause of these sites ranking. A nice situation to be in!

Anyway, I decided to give a keyword research service a try as I couldn’t count on getting lucky every time. I liked the idea of good keywords being delivered to me every day. I calculated the cost of these services and concluded that they were value for money.

Travis Sago was offering a keyword research service which I decided to try. Let’s face it, Travis is THE bum marketer. Bum marketing only costs my time so it’s my kind of marketing.

It takes me an hour or two to come up with a couple of decent keywords. Getting them delivered is a huge help. Two hours or so to me is quite valuable. Put that couples hours saved against the daily cost and it adds up to value.

All the big marketers bang on about outsourcing. I see this as nothing more than that. Outsourcing my keyword research to someone else.

If you want to hear about my trial of the Instacash service get yourself over to my website. I said earlier about how I got loads of articles published for my chosen keyword. I’ll also tell you how I did that at my site.
